Flyindogz Slumberjack "Icky Nicky"
Meet Nicky... Nicky was purchased from a Jack Russell Breeder in Loxahatchee, FL and lived the first year of her life in a home with other dogs but not much supervision. Nicky likes to hunt, lizards, frogs, whatever. This led to her wandering away from home on numerous occasions and eventually being rehomed to me. For fun Nicky would go to flyball practice and "play" at flyball, never taking it seriously. It was then when i began working on flyball training with another dog of mine and Nicky's flyball training ceased. When it is decided that the other dog would be better playing a different game Nicky started coming back to flyball practice. Her first serious attempt at flyball had her running a full lane and bringing the ball back... something she had never done before let alone been trained for. She had apparently been watching for months and knew what to do and only needed the chance to prove it. Icky Nicky is known as the Un-Jack as she is 95% of the time totally non jack russell like. She is a social butterfly and loves everyone and almost every dog she meets. This will be her biggest hurdle in a tournament. Look for her in the lanes in 2010!
